Reni Stoll
Founder & President
Originally from Slovakia, she spent time in Barcelona and Hoboken before settling in Jersey City Heights with her family and dog Leo. As a professional interior designer, Reni brings a creative lens to our community, viewing every streetscape as an opportunity to enhance our environment. A former member of the Jersey City Shade Tree Committee, she is a dedicated advocate for urban forestry.
Her efforts have already helped green areas around PS 26, PS 28, Bleecker Street, Palisade Avenue, Summit Avenue and others. Reni deeply values the diverse and family-friendly nature of the Heights and remains committed to addressing local issues. Her priorities include eliminating litter, reversing the diminishing tree canopy, implementing sustainable features and advocating for sensible urban planning. Through beautification efforts, her goal is to help revitalize Central Avenue.
Jeff Justice
Co-Founder & Vice President
Jeff has considered the Heights his family's long-term home since moving to Jersey City from Washington D.C. in 2019. Shortly after arriving, he was elected as the local County Committee Representative, where he remains dedicated to addressing the needs and growth of the area. He actively fosters community spirit by organizing various block parties and local events. As a long-standing, Mayor-appointed member of the Jersey City Economic Development Corporation (JCEDC), Jeff works to enhance the local economy and support small businesses. and champion initiatives that make Jersey City an even better place to live and work. He is a tech-executive-turned-entrepreneur who brings his experience leading large organizations back into the community after opening Cub & Fox Playhouse, the Heights’ largest indoor play place and birthday party venue for kids. As the Vice President of the CHNA, Jeff is committed to enhancing the community through its core values of community, beauty, and fun.
Katie Pettick-Perez
Co-Founder & Treasurer
Katie grew up on Long Island, spent a couple years living in Pittsburgh, and finally settled in the Heights in 2017. Katie has loved living in the Heights and is excited to work with her neighbors to find new ways to support and enjoy this wonderful community. Katie’s favorite kind of day in the Heights includes eating on Central Avenue, spending time in the park with her family, and running into friends along the way.
Erin Gromen
Co-Founder & Director of Development
Erin has called the Heights home for over 20 years — long enough to have witnessed positive change alongside stubborn-yet-solvable problems, and that combination is exactly what drives her enthusiasm for CHNA. Before planting roots in Jersey City, she spent seven years in Hoboken, so she's had a front-row seat to three decades of change across the area. Professionally, Erin brings over 30 years of nonprofit management and fundraising experience, mostly at New York cultural institutions focused on the media industry. She's excited about being able to take that experience and apply it right here, in the neighborhood she calls home. A journalism grad from NYU, Erin is originally from the Midwest with a detour through Texas — but she'll tell you she's growing more Jersey by the minute. On any given day, you can find her on her South Street porch with her husband Joe and their rescue pitbull, Mizzy.
